Cernan

Eugene Andrew "Gene" Cernan has died. He was an American astronaut, naval aviator, electrical engineer, aeronautical engineer, and fighter pilot and the last man to walk on the moon.
A story:

A young woman in a physics program was working on a physics problem assigned to her at school. She was struggling with it as were the others in her class. She approached her father, a mathematician, with it and he, after struggling with it himself, called a physicist friend and they began to discuss it over the phone. A third voice was heard in the background commenting: It was Cernan, who was visiting his friend. He suggested the problem itself was wrong, reconfigured it, then solved it.
The girl brought the solution to class the next day and it was revealed that the problem was indeed posed in error.
My God," said the professor, "Did Cernan know I was involved?"
