Aldrich Ames, a former CIA case officer arrested by the FBI in 1994 and sentenced to life in prison for espionage, died in custody on Monday.

“It was absurd to believe 51 percent of the country would agree in bulk to the various enormities of: inflation, crime, abolishment of police, abandonment of Afghanistan and Israel, DEI, sexual indoctrination of children, censorship; and the candidacy first of an obviously senile crook; and, after him, an incoherent nullity.” This is from Mamet and his furious book, Disenlightenment. His explanation is that leadership has vanished in the United States and is being replaced by small power centers and political gangs.
Not what Jefferson envisioned.

Throwing Yourself on Your Own Grenade
What in God's name are we doing?
We pass laws and then vilify the enforcers.
We defy the law despite the lessons of all civilized societies: the law protects us from chaos, tribalism, and vigilantiism.
We ignore the wisdom of the times that every Black parent drills into his kids from the age of 10: do not confront the law. Always sort disputes out in court. Traffic stops are murderously dangerous. You cannot count upon the wisdom and the goodwill of an armed person who is worried. He will protect himself from a threat or a perceived one.
It's unlikely this woman ever heard such universal advice.
This poor woman in Minneapolis probably felt she was doing a social good and joined circumstances created by professional agitators and was urged on by a malicious political network of state and local politicians whose motive of disruption and suspicion is realized by the ideology vultures' ideal: the injury to an innocent breaking the law for a greater good. The manipulator's Holy Grail.
Years ago, this was the purpose of the battle cry, "Chicks up front."
There hasn't been this much joy in the revolutionary boardroom since that idiot put live ammo into the National Guard rifles at Kent State.
For the love of God, stay home with your children. Let the scheming protest organizers take a hit, for once.
