The Business is Self-Aware!

A question was raised as to what an employee should be reasonably expected to know about his company. Put another way, when does what an employee does not know of his company become unreasonable.

Some suggestions:
1. Public or private.
2. Number of employees.
3. Gross earnings. (Profit may not be available but would be reasonable if public.)
4. General market focus.
5. General geographic focus.
6. If a service industry, the general size of the customer base.
7. Planned areas of expansion.
8. General earnings curve over the last decade.
